This past school year has held many challenges inside and outside of the classroom; yet despite those challenges, I have been able to meet my goal that I set in the beginning of this program. I definitely would not have been able to do this without those who have supported and guided me through this journey. I will be forever grateful for the opportunities I have been afforded, but also for these special individuals and my students.
My areas of strength are developing as a professional, assessing students for learning, understanding and organizing subject matter for students, and creating and maintaining effective environments for student learning. The areas for improvement are engaging and supporting all students in learning, and designing learning experiences for all students.
I have changed in so many ways on so many levels as I have particiapted in every step of this process because I have been able to ponder and reflect on the various aspects of my role as an educator. In being able to learn, ponder and reflect, I have adjusted and changed how I have prepared for lessons and taught them because I have taken on different perspectives and have been mindful of each of my students and their needs.
I am most proud of being able to meet the needs of my students by applying all that I have learned through this program. I have been proud of my students and their openness to the different techniques being implemented in our classroom. Students have taken an active role in their learning journey by not only participating in class, but also in the assessment process and continuing to learn.
